Hello my question is about my engine.I did my oil change and notice that my oil drain plug was stripped.I drove my car about 2 miles back and forth so approx. 4 miles to autozone with no oil. Now my engine drives weird. No knocking but just a little louder and I notice a loss in power.I wanted to know what I could possibly do to salvage my engine and hopefully be cost effective. Also the new plug still leaks just a little

Four miles? And it didn't explode? Five seconds without oil pressure can destroy an engine. Yours apparently was a really tough one but don't even bother trying to salvage it. The cylinder walls will be scuffed and torn up as will the pistons. The connecting rod bearings, crankshaft bearings, and camshaft bearings are highly polished and the clearances between them are measured to the thousandth of an inch. Those very soft bearings will be chewed away and will have metal particles embedded in them. The fact the engine runs at all is amazing. It isn't going to continue doing that for long.
