1991 Infiniti G20 Manual Transmission Type Auto Infinity G20 Anyways

My problem has to do with a manual transmission type auto ( A 1991 Infinity G20). Anyways it happened when i was in the freeway going up hill so i tried to downshift to 4th to get more power and then i don't know what happened but the whole shifting lever/stick just broke or something or popped out of place. It's still driveable but the shifts are all messed up and its harder to switch gears. So how do i fix that problem myself or can i?

Check the gear shift linkages. Something has given way and you need to find out what has. You can do the job yourself if you can find out what is wring.
