I have a 91 honda prelude si that is a stick shift need to know why when I go into first and second gear it has no pickup speed but when I get up to 3rd it goes. It runs very sluggish in 1st and second gear like when I stop and get ready to go I cant pull out unless theres no cars cause theres no pickup power at all but after I finally get up to speed and change gears once I reach 3rd its fine

Check the transmission fluid level and condition if okay bring it in and have pressure tested to find out what's causing it to slip, also have the TPS and VSS sensors checked-

Ok so where would u check the fluid at do u think it would have anything to do with the timing belt

Yours is a stick shift so it is not fluids that is causing the problem.
If the timing belt had recently been replaced, it could have been installed out of time.
