check engine light

check engine light comes on and my car acts weird, it shakes a little, and when i accelerate its not as smooth, so i turn the car off, then turn it back on and the check engine light goes away and my car is fine, and the check engine light stays away for a couple of days or so, whats the deal with that?

Hello im back again, my cel has cut on again and cuts off when i restart the car so mechanics cant check it, dont know what o do cause when it cuts on its at odd times where i cant get to a mechanic. please help thanks.
