transmission is stuck in gear

91 gmc 4.3 v6. is stuck in gear,may be in revers,i just cant get it unstuck,dont know what happed/it always shifted good till now,help me a.s.a.p. and what kind of transmission is on a 91 sonoma 4.3 v6. thank you.
