I HAVE A 1991 FORD EXPLORER I REPLACED THE STARTER AND SOLENOID 2 MONTHS AGO, MY PROBLEM IS IT ONLY START SOMETIMES SO I LEARNED I CAN USE A SCREW DRIVER TOUCHING THE SOLENOID BOLTS ITS WORKED EVERY TIME INTELL MY HAND CAME OFF BEFOR IT STARTED AND WHEN I TRYED AGAIN THE STARTER JUST CLICKED THE BATTERY NOT GOING DEAD FROM TURNING IGNITION IT MAKE NO SOUND DEM THE LIGHTS OR NOTHING, PLEASE HELP ME I NEED MY TRUCK RUNNING REALLY BAD I JUST MOVED INTO A BAD AREA

Wrong Pic!!!

You are just touching the 2 big lugs together on a different solenoid than I show above......Basically connecting the battery straight to the starter. (the above pic uses the solenoid's electromagnet to make the connection)

Run thru this....saves me some huntin' and peckin'

Yeah thats it, yesterday I changed my new solenoid to my old one and it started with SCREW DRIVER I THINK I NEED A NEW SOLENOID, THANKS FOR REPLYING TO MY Question
