car will barely run

When driving short tips car runs fine but once you go more than 20 miles at a time I lose power to the center ignition coil and the car will barely run once the car cools down it runs fine

Oil pressure is good. Both outter coils are firing. There is a strong fuel smell from the exhaust (of course). I have changed the coil and that was no help. Out of ideas need help

do the leads and the plugs as either may be breaking down, sounds like an electrical ignition problem, start here.
