Power steering

Power steering wont work in cold start ups below 20 degree's til it warms up, foams up from pressure and leaks out the cap of the resevoir. Leaks when its not running, from the cap of the resevoir. Had the pump and the steering box replaced.

Foaming occurs when air is drawn into the system. Check the delivery hose between reservoir and pump for leakages.

Also use the special "cold weather" power steering fluid available from the dealer's parts department. It's meant for use with diesel engines only.

Thanks, I will try the fluid, the hoses are all in great condition. Everything was fine in the summer thats when the pump and steering box got replaced, this just started when it got cold.
