LCD instrument pannel lights went out but MPH still showing is it a fuse or an electrical problem

Check the fuse in teh fuse block first then check to see if the light switch is sending power to the ip. If all that does that then it may bethe lcd's.

I checked the fuses and there all good. I'm not sure how to check to see if the light switch is sending power to the insturment pannel.

I'd really like to see if I could just replace one of those little pieces in the motherboard thats behind it cause I don't want to pay to buy a whole new one if I can just figure out what the little problem is.

Cause i've noticed when I drive around they'll all the sudden come back on then sometimes when i'm driving they'll dim then go completely out so i'm wondering if the wires are grounding out somewhere

If you hit a bump and they goout and dim, then heck your grounds tot he dsh. There should be a black wire that is ground. To check the light switch you need a 12volt tester or dvom. You proble the wire that goes to the instrument panel
