Was cruizing down the road at about 70 and engine cut out and would start not getting power to the coil- have tryed everything I can think of as I am a mechanic and I need some help anyone have any idea what would be making my coil have no power mind you everything else works?

Did you check primary voltage at the coil? Usually pink wire, goes hot with the key on.

No voltage to the coil I put it on my 88 chevy c10 and it fired right up some ppl have told me the ignition control but I am lost as where to find it.

Also I have a 1999 dodge caravan that just done the same thing as the s10.

Like I said, the pink wire is primary voltage to coil. If circuit isn't hot, trace wiring to ignition switch. Also, check pink wire at ignition switch, see if it goes hot with key on.
