rear window want come up

rear window on driver side won,t come up what could b the problem i am thinking may b the motor if so where is it and how do i replace it it,s on a 91 bmw735il

How did the window go down? Does it make any sound when you press the "down" button? Does it not go up from the driver's switch AND the passenger switch?

With the engine not running, watch the dome light very closely when you press the "up" button. Does the light dim very slightly?
