1991 Acura Legend headlights/daytimerunning lights

When the car is running the right front day running light doesnot work when I put headlights on .it comes on but they go into high beam mode. I know I have a short in one of power lines but need to know how to tackle the problem.please help

check fuses and relay in underhood fuse box first. look uner electrical on site here how to repair on how to check a relay
