Acceleration cuts out while driving - Volvo 740 Turbo

While driving my 740 volvo turbo 1990 as I press the gas the car does not accelerate. The speed starts to slow and then all the lights come on on the dash board. Battery seems fine, turbo sounds like it spins. After stopping the car for about 3 min I was able to start it and than it ran fine.

Recent tune up? Filters changed? Check engine light come on? Only happened once? Recent repairs?

A ton of repairs on the car recently but not for this issue. Air conditioning was fixed, new turbo, new front engine seals, new starter moater There was not recent tune up, I think the filters are still good. The check engine light has not come on. All the lights came on at once today after the gas pedal went completely dead. I turned the car off and after 3 min it ran fine.
