1990 Volkswagen Golf Just Replaced Alternator Battery Put Them Myself Yet Test

so i just replaced the alternator and battery. put them in myself and have yet to test tension on the alt belt not sure if that would add to the problem, but my car has been revving high between 1200 and 1500 and while driving it , it will jump kinda like a new driver learnign standard. i have driven standard for many years and am good at it so thats not the problem. it will jump in all the gears except first not sure if the clutch is engaging properly or what but hopefully i can get an answer.

Digifant Injection or CIS?

Sounds like the throttle switch / wiring issue (if Digifant Injected).
