can parts form a 1990 toyota celica be put into a 1989 celica?

i need a new alternator and egr valve for my 1989 celica, i was wondering if this 1990 celica i can buy for cheap, could be used for those parts. or would they not be compatible?

if the engines are the same, good chance. see if there are any part numbers on the parts you are using.
