Keep jumping out of reverse. Forward gears are smooth

How many miles are on it? Can you hold it in reverse?

200k and no you can't hold it in. Feels like it's not going all the way into gear

Check the linkage to make sure nothing is worn and not allowing it to fully engage. If that is all good, I hate to say it, but the trans most likely has internal wear that is causing the problem. Also, make sure the fluid in it is clean and full.
