Over the past month my 1990 Saab 900s has begun to hesitate and stall when driving. Then it takes several minutes and it will start again. I drive for a few more miles and it will just quit and sometimes it very difficult to start again. We changed coil wires, plugs and spark plug wires. I thought this might be a vacuum problem, but the tubes seem okay. I have run out of places to look. By the way the fuel pump in the gas tank was changed about a year ago. Sorry for the long winded question.

When it stalled and could not be started, did you test if it is ignition sparks or fuel that is missing? We need to isolate between the 2 to understand and narrow down the possibilities.
