1990 Oldsmobile 88 rough idle etc:.

The car had the issue where it would get warm and after I would shut it off being warn it wouldn't turn back over. So I replaced the. sparkplugs and lines. That didbt do anything but they still needed replaced. Noticed the icm was melting insulation so continued to buy the icm and coilpack. After over 250$ invested i turned it over and it idles rough like its misfiring any solution right would be oh so great. Could it be a relay possibly? Please help...

Just about anything can cause a rough idle. Vacuum leak--egr--fuel issue--idle air system. Did you check for applicable mil codes? Some people think I'm trying to insult their intelligence when I ask about codes. I assure you that is not the case, I'm just trying to figure out what testing you have done.
