If my externalwastegate leaks real bad does that effect the boost n how the kar revs

Wen I rev the kar it sounds lyk its missing it runs well when its idleing but when I rev it it flaters just woundering if it would be running lean

When was the basic tune items last checked, I would first be checking that the ignition system is working correctly first, and any leakage at the turbo will cause performance problems at this should be rectified as well.
