Replace a switch assembly wiper ona 1990 Nissan axxess

I broke off my switch assembly - wiper switch. How do I fix the new part onto the steering column of a 1990 Nissan Axxess? It is one of 3 parts on the combination switch with the signal switch.

The part can be replaced individually and you can try removing the steering upper and lower column cover to check if you can replace the part without removing the complete multifunction switch assy.

Removing the multifunction switch would require the steering wheel and horn pads or air bag module to be removed. If equipped with air-bags, care must be taken while removing or installing. always disconnec the battery and wait a few minutes before working on the air-bag system.
