what does it mean when the brake & battery dash lights go on at the same time, then goes off.

This happens at any time, brake fluid good, battery good. Thinking Power steering, but fluid is up but really wet under there. How would I check if its alternator?

If they are the only ones, have the alternator checked since you already did the brakes.
