what is different between 4 cylinder or 6v cylinder

4 stroke engine(four cylinder) consumed less fuel, but 6 stroke or v6 engine consumed more fuel

It does not mean the more number of cylinders, the more fuel it would consume. Engine capacity is the main factor.
