The other day the gas pedal stopped working on my car. I puled in to a parking lot, went to speed up and nothing. I Stopped, turned the car off. Then

It wouldn't start up. Pushed it to auto-zone. A few hours later my dad came to look at it and it started right away and drove fine. It might be vapor-lock, but I have a flue-injector.

When I unscrew the gas cap, when the engine is up to temp, there is a hissing noise. Also what my dad calls the "clutch fan" wont come on. 1990 Mercury sable 3.0L.

clutch fan is on different vehicle. you have a cooling fan.

the hissing is from your evap system, possible stuck closed vent valve.

i would have the fuel pressure checked. it sounds like fuel delivery.
