Running problem

Hello I have a 1990 MAZDA 626 I just replaced the head gasket and put it back together, It seem that the timing is off, the car will not stay running. Help

Put the engine no.1 piston on its compression TDC and check camshaft and crankshaft alignment marks if its in position and also rotor pointing at the no.1 cap tower if not the valve timing is off
