car runs ok but when u put it in drive it dies but will sit and idle in park and does fine in reverse but when you put it in drive if you hold the brakes and gas it will stay running. I have to really do it at lights when you have to stop at the signals

The brake booster can be a source of a vacuum leak, yes.
