Speedometer needel

i had to push start my Prelude today and when i popped the clutch the speedometer needle dropped pointing straight to the floor. Now it does not move why did it do this and how do i fix it?

Inspect and test the vehicle speed sensor that's if its not cable operated

The needle has overshot itself and all you need to do is to turn the needle anticlockwise until it resets itself to Zero.
