What could cause this?

I have a 1990 GMC S-15 5 speed that suddenly lost take off power. It feels like it is bogging down when I dive in first gear. It also starts to sputter. No power when shifting gears.

Start by checking for troble codes.

It could be fuel related such as low fuel pressure or ignition related such as bad spark plugs and related components.
A clogged exhaust system etc and the list can go on.
