1990 gmc pu, my check gauges lite came on and my oil pressure is registering past 60. What can cause that.

Is the oil pressure relief valve the same as the oil pressure switch,oreily only show a switch not valve?

No, the oil pressure relief valve is in the oil pump-the switch reads the pressure-the oil pressure relief valve controls the oil pressure
