1990 Ford Tempo First Press Brake Pedal Will Way Floor Car Won T Stop Pump

When I first press my brake, the pedal will go all the way to the floor and the car won't stop. I can pump it a few times and it will start to slow. What can be wrong? Brake fluid levels are fine.

master cylinder has failed. get it fixed asap before you have an accident
