Recently (less than 1 month) car began accelerating at what I would say is half the rate it normally used to. I took it to a mechanic and he gave it a tune up and checked the computer for any error codes. None of the components or parameters the computer tracks were malfunctioning or in error. As part of the tune up they replaced the distributor, wires, and plugs. Car seems to start and idle fine. Performs better after 5-10 minutes of driving but not back to normal. Car accelerates normally through the bottom part of the RPM band then seems to bog down and accelerate rather slowly. She used to do 90mph and now I can barely hold 65mph. Shop checked catalytic converter and it showed normal. Shop checked compression and #1 cylinder was at 125 psi and the other 3 cylinders were at 150psi. I am not sure which way to go fuel or airflow. Any help would be appreciated

If there are no codes, the vehicle has been tuned up and the converter is not plugged, that is a tough call. Has fuel pump pressure / volume been checked? As far as the catalytic converter, how was it checked? Also, has anyone checked for engine vacuum leaks and has the ignition timing been checked? Timing could be retarded and causing a power loss at higher RPM's. The advance should also be checked.

Rent a fuel pressure gauge at the parts store and ck. It
look at the plug on the 125 cyl. Is their a different color to that plug than the others
clean the throttle body with carb cleaner and ck. The injectors are operating properly
check the timing if u have not all ready done so.
Remove the 02 sensor and retest the converter.
Start here and get back with me.
