FROM THEN TILL NOW----YOU ARE LOOKING FOR TROUBLE BY CAUSING A "SPIKE" INTO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.......MIGHT EVEN GET TO BUY YOURSELF A NEW CAR COMPUTER OR AN ALTERNATOR........WHAT A DEAL!....NEW STUFF FOR THE TRUCK.....FROM A SIMPLE 1960s TEST!

NOW-A-DAYS, "SENSITIVE", SEEMS TO BE THE ANSWER TO EVERYTHING, FROM YOUR CAR TO CREATING A "POLITICALLY CORRECT SOLDIER"
I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU TESTED THE ALTERNATOR.....THE BEST WAY IS ON THE VEHICLE, AND LET A POPULAR AUTO PARTS STORE "LOAD TEST" IT FOR FREE
WE WANNA MAKE SURE THE ALTERNATOR JUICE IS MAKING IT BACK TO THE BATTERY.....THIS SIMPLE TEST CAN TELL YOU THAT...SEE MY LINK

EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE TESTING WIRES---ALSO GOTTA MAKE SURE THE CONNECTIONS ALLOW THE JUICE TO MAKE IT ON THRU....THIS LINK IS SORTA MY "DRILL SERGEANT" APPROACH OVER THE NET...IN TEXT

I TOO USE THE OLDER FORD TYPE SOLENOID IN BOTH OF MY JEEPS -- THE ONE BEFORE YOURS --IT'S NOT UNCOMMON FOR THE RINGS STACKED UP AGAINST THE POSITIVE BATTERY CABLE ON THE SOLENOID TO GET DIRTY/ LOOSE/ MINOR CORROSION WHICH WILL NOT ALLOW POWER TRANSFER FROM ONE TO THE OTHER
CHECK YOUR FUSIBLE LINKS ALSO----SOMETIMES THEY ARE IN THE FUSE BOX, ON OLDER FORDS AND JEEPS THEY ARE AT THE SOLENOID
THEY ARE THE BEGINNING PIECE OF WIRE (A FEW INCHES LONG) WHEN THEY FRY IT'S EITHER "OBVIOUS" THEY ARE BURNED THE WIRE IS GONE/ SHOT, THE INSULATION STRETCHES OUT LIKE A RUBBER BAND---VOLTAGE TEST/ TEST LIGHT WILL CONFIRM NOTHING IS GETTING THRU THAT SECTION
I MAY BE ABLE TO GET YOU A "MITCHELL I" WIRING DIAGRAM FOR THE CHARGING SYSTEM...I NEED THE EXACT NOMENCLATURE FOR THE TRUCK AND THE ENGINE SIZE.......THIS WOULD SHOW EVERYTHING, WIRE COLORS AND LOCATIONS OR NUMBERS OF STUFF....LIKE THE FUSES INVOLVED
