I have a 1990 Ford F150 and the transmission got overfilled. Isn't there a drain plug to get it to the correct level?

If it doesn't have a drain plug-you need to crack the transmission oil pan to drain it

First of all, be sure you're checking the level with the engine running. With the engine off, the level will appear to be too high.
Without a drain plug the best way to remove excess fluid is with a hand-powered siphon pump. Add a longer hose to reach down the dipstick tube, then suck it out that way.
