1990 courier stalls at idle

At first engine started fine, then after a 40km journey it wouldn't idle, after cooling down it started and idled fine, after a few minutes it wouldn't idle, drove back home 40km and now at starting won't idle, turned up idle screw, has no effect, won't idle.
