Speedometer quit working, replaced speed sensor, what would be the next step for checking out the speedometer.

I replaced the one on the transmission

Do me a favor, based on different options, there could be a speed sensor on the top of the rear differential. Check to see if there is one there. If there is, check to see if there is continunity through it.

Yes, there is one on top of differential. Tried to remove plug from ABS sensor on the differential, plug and sensor was corroded very bad. I ordered plug and sensor. I will replace them, but I had to order them, parts houses and dealer did not stock them. Thanks for your help. Joe
