Overheating

Car overheats. Warms up fine but at a stop it heats up to just over the 3/4 mark where the electric fan kicks on and cools it down. Have replace water pump and thermostat (water pump done with timing belt). No water in my oil, doesn't overheat at highway speeds, but city driving does it.

Sounds like it's working properly if it cools down when the fan kicks in.

common issue is the cylinder head cracks and causes it to overheat. a leak down test will confirm.
