Mt sons wipers are not working. They were working fine while it was raining very hard one day then they stopped. he can move them freely back and forth with his hand. Is it the motor?

check fuses first then check to see if transmission came disconnected from motor, there is i nut holding it. Or teh transmission may have broken, they aren't hard to replace, they are under the vent in fron tof windshield, you can look there before romeoving to see what's wrong.
