Recently, when making a left hand turn, the turn signal/wiper lever on my 1990 Chevy Silveraldo no longer clicks off after I complete the turn. I have to manually push the lever up to turn off the signal instead of it automatically turning off. However, it still clicks off after making a right hand turn. What is the cause for this and how easy is it to fix?

The return "tang" has broken inside the turn signal switch in one direction, Unfortunately the turn signal switch will need to be replaced.

This operation is involves disassembling the steering column if you are not experienced in this or an advanced mechanic I do not suggest you try this repair yourself.

Thanks for using 2Carpros. Com.
