What parts do I need to fix this?

When I drive my 1500 chevy if I open the throttle completly it starts to miss cut out and sputter till it completly dies then wont start back what would cause this and what parts will fix it?

I would check the fuel pressure first to see if it is running out of fuel from a bad fuel pump.

I would also check the back pressure of the cat converter but that would not stop it from re starting.
