1990 Chevrolet Silverado clutch pedal

Yesturday i replaced the clutch set and got the trans hooked back up to engine. I went to push in the clutch pedal has about 3 inches of travel then becomes rock hard. What is wrong. I have not bled the clutch yet either

bleed the clutch first it may not be working yet the recheck your work if you can. Look for stuff like linkage off, or something bent like the throw out arm.
