Why does my 1990 scottsdale with a 355 ci. - Smell like its running rich all the time? I was told to advance the timing 4 degrees because at 0 it would run backwards. So when I advanced it 4 degrees it stopped but now when im at a stop and hit the accelerator hard it stalls then picks up after about a sec. It bugs me because I just rebuilt it all and have well over $2000 in it. Please help me!

Backwards? I dont think so.
It all depends on the cam you have, weights in the distributor and whether you have a vacuum advance.
What kind of carb are you using?

Every thing is stock but the cam is just an rv voodoo cam and molly pistons and rings but its still the original efi with the next size bigger injectors.
