Cadillac Fleetwood 1990
Periodically smoke comes from under the steering wheel while driving. In the garage engine was running idle for an hour - fans were working and no smoke. For me it looks like bad fans wiring. Wires lose connection in movement and fans stop. Can there be any other reason?

Many big thanks.

There should be nothing relative to cooling fans under or near the steering wheel. In the past I have had complaints of smoke coming from the steering column that was a result of the grease on the turn signal switch getting into the contacts and burning(smoke). I have seen several complaints of this, although never had observed, or duplicated it myself. Replacement of the turn signal switch was the remedy.
