Could oil in the air filter casing be causing my car to feel like it is not going into gear (ie. After starting, and then depressing the accelerator, the car does not seem to accelerate right away)? The engine oil level seems okay, and the oil in the crankcase is clean. The transmission fluid also seemed clean, and did not smell smokey or burnt. I did not do the transmission fluid "level" check as I was not prepared to warm the car up just now.

Do you have a check engine light? Could be a transmission problem, check the MAP and TPS sensors and also the exhaust for restriction
