DO I HAVE TO TAKE THE CAMSHAFT OUT THE ENGINE IN ORDER TO REPLACE THE METAL LOOKING O-RING ON THE REAR OF THE CAMSHAFT OR CAN IT BE INSTALL WHILE STILL IN THE ENGINE IT HAS A SMALL PIECE MISSING FROM IT (PICS)BELOW OR WILL IT BE FINE LIKE IT IS AND LEAVE THE O-RING LIKE IT IS AND JUST PUT FREEZE PLUG ON OR REPLACE THE RING BEFORE I PUT THE FREEZE PLUG ON IF SO WHERE CAN I PURCHASE ONE FROM AND WHAT IS IT CALLED I JUST ASSUMED ITS AN O-RING I TRIED NAPA/AUTOZONE

if you are talking about the plug that is shown in pic but is behind cam no the cam does not have to be removed but engine or trans does to gain access. use blue Loctite when installing it.
