My a/c compressor is bad but I never use my a/c so I was wondering if I could bypass the compressor and just use a smaller belt? If so how do I figure out what size belt to use?

They make bypass pulleys for the AC compressor. Purchase one and install it. It will take the place of the compressor pulley and you don't have to try and fabricate a belt diagram and figure out what size belt to get.

Go to google and search:

1990 Buick Lesabre AC bypass pulley. You will find a ton of them.

Let me know if this helps.
