the release cable broke and i was told that i would need a body man to open the hood any idea on how is this don .

You probably have to strip the front to get to the latch or from the bottom. Its gonna be a tedious work, get the pros to do it

i already took out the radiator fan and its shroud would that help

You got more to do keep going-till you can visually see the latch and cable then figure out how to maneuver it
