Car has sat for a year or so and now will not start unless you spray starting fluid in the intake path

At first didn't think fuel pump was working. Now I hear it pumping but injectors are not yielding fuel!

You can hear the pump run, but it may not be producing enough pressure to run the engine. Check fuel pump pressure first.

2.3 engine
Line pressure 300 kPa (43 psi)
Rest pressure 200 - 300 kPa (28 - 43 psi)

2.8 engine
Line pressure 250 kPa (36 psi)
Rest pressure 150-250 kPa (21-36 psi)
