When its cold outside car sputters now and then, when its hot outside car has now power at all sputters constantly and the throttle body housing gets so hot it boils water if sprayed on it? need help

If the check engine light has come on, have the computer scanned to identify trouble codes. Also, I would recommend checking fuel pump pressure.
