I have been replacing a fuel pump in a 1989 toyota MR2 with a v6 twin cams supercharged. So I got the tank out and the new fuel pump in the tank.I was installing it today and it has four vent tubes so I have the tank up there and thought I was almost done then I noticed two hoses coming out from top of tank and these hoses are so short I can't get them on,so now I dropped the tank back down. Now I am going to get longer hoses. And I was told it was special hose not vacuum line stuff, and I was told it was 5.00 or more for a foot or less which that seems way to ,much and it is just small black hose with little clamps on it.So that sounds a little crazy right

not really because the hose you need has to be high pressure and if you put vacuum hose it will get ate up and cause a bad leak as that is probably the return line or evap hose
