where is the electrical connection for lock up torque converter

at an idle you put car in gear and it stalls.if you hold the gas peddle a little the car wont die but starts to shake with a rough idle

the connector is in the front of the car, drivers side about the middle of the trans. it is a square 4 wire connector.
i doubt it is the issue as if it was, you could not accelerate the car in gear. it would just keep shutting off till the clutch in the converter releases.

i disconnected this terminal and the motor doesnt stall but still is very rough at low speed at hiway speed it seems to run fine.i just replaced cam position sensor and interuptor,new plugs and wires but it seems real sluggish on acceleration.
