1989 Oldsmobile 88 engine running rough

when the outside air temp is 60 degrees or lower the engines runs good no problem. 65 degrees and up car starts running rough after a few minutes runs rough all speeds . check engine light does not come on . shut car off for 10 minutes start runs good for awhile than starts running rough again . the warmer the outside temp is the quicker it starts running rough . stumped dan please help thank you

Has the temp sensor ever been replaced? When it starts running bad, have you ever noticed any black smoke from the exhaust or a rich smell from the exhaust?

temp sensor has never been changed . no i haven't noticed anything with the exhaust .

scan the codes by the ignition switch , counting service engine light when it flashes the codes

There should be a port that where you jump the A and B terminals to get the codes.
